Three years ago I had multiple heart attacks and was laid up for 12 months unable to undertake most of my normal daily chores. I ended up on facebook a fair bit and I came across a post by Live Science “are pit bulls inherently dangerous”. (www.livescience.com/27145-are-pit-bulls-dangerous.html)
Having battled and beaten BSL in QLD via Deborah Pomeroy’s “22 point plan” which was being used to identify the breed of dogs visually without any information as to actual lineage, Ms Pomeroy has no actual credentials in relation to canines and came up with the “22 point plan” using the breed standard of the American Pit Bull Terrier (without permission).
Then she charged local councils in Queensland $1500/ACO to train their people at the a flashy weekend junket on the Gold Coast. The “22 point plan” was being promoted and used to determine whether a dog of unknown lineage was a “pitbull” visually. Our local ACO is being sued for “mis-feance” for harassing a dog owner regarding a dog which had previously been seized by Redcliffe City Council (QLD).
After spending in excess of $140,000 of ratepayer money trying to have the dog PTS for no other reason then because it looked like a pit bull, the dog “Rusty” has done nothing wrong other then escape his yard and look like a pit bull. The father of a distraught 5 year little girl that owned “Rusty” appealed on national television for help as he couldn’t afford to fight the councils team of lawyers.
Well it turns out that one of the people watching that broadcast happened to be a Queens Council Barrister here in Queensland and he recognized the desperate father from his old school days, long story short he challenged the methodology ie: “22 point plan” and had it thrown out of court and BSL has been impossible to enforce ever since and is costing the community hundreds of thousands of dollars where they are still trying to enforce it.
But back to our original story I ended up on live science and it was madness there were so many ignorant statements, outright lies, and bullying by BSL proponents.
Having read every book about the American Pit Bull Terrier written by Richard Stratton and having battled BSL on behalf of a friend whose dog was seized and deemed to be a “pit bull” by local ACO’s and I did months of research revealing the “22 point plan”.
So I weighed in to the discussion with intelligent informative comments backed up by both research and experience. I own 3 dogs , 2 females are Neo Mastiff+Harlequin Dane+French Mastiff, the male is an American Bulldog but I’ve only recently adopted him. My first introduction the the “foamers” (someone that foams at the mouth at the thought of, killing a pit bull, the pit bulls were a nanny dog, pit bulls etc etc they hate pit bulls with a real passion.
I quickly learned that these clowns were all spouting statistics form a not for profit org , dogsbut,org and they in turn got their stats from Merritless Cliton (animals 24/7)

This guy is a joke not one of his articles has ever been peer reviewed nor are any of them accepted by mainstream dog organizations across the board, he presents a conclusion without any relative data used in drawing that conclusion. Word to the wise never point out the fact the dogs involved in his sone death were “boxer Mixes” like I did, ever since I’ve been stalked and harrased, including having private pictures stolen and Meme’d….

This continues right up to now still, they’ll set their hackers onto you steal your pics and make fake pages about you it’s totally over the top fanaticism.
On a daily basis this man makes more victims then his fake non profit site could ever help, after all most donations go to newspaper adds while BOOFHEAD cruises a lake somewhere fishing, you dis-honor your son daily having been one of your victims ,,,, I ,,, say grow up you sook your son would still be alive if YOU hadn’t left him with that incompetent woman…I’m against BSL because it ignores the victims of non banned dogs?
