Myranya Werlemann Another person who is blinded by a pair of dark eyes, wet tongue and a wagging tail... this is exactly what makes pits and similar fighting breeds so dangerous. They are happy, friendly, goofy and sweet, most of the time. Right up until the time they attack. And people like Shelby absolutley refuse to believe it because they can't look beyond that goofy 'pibbles' attitude, no matter how many examples of other pits that did snap we give them. They will make up excuses, find other things to blame, or flat out disbelieve the entire news report. If only pits were nasty and aggressive all the time, then we'd only have a few of them to deal with owned by real nasty nutcases. A pit will cuddle with you and lick your face, charge off to kill a pet or human while still happily wagging its tail, and while some keep displaying aggression after they have snapped, others have gone right back to cuddling and licking and being a goofy 'pibbles' once they were calmed down again....

Been trying to adopt it out -so it could become somebody else's problem and maul someone else's child? Great idea, let's just re-home agressive dogs, and spring the dog with an attack history on some other community.
