If you combine sensationalist type second rate journalism using "pit bulls" to try and salvage their failing career and/or publications with your average xenophobic pit bull hating breed specific legislation proponent you get hundreds of thousands of dead pit bulls each and every year in fact the numbers would be heading into the millions all being accommodated by fear mongering and propaganda.
Now I read the whole story and the only person calling "Saint" a pit bull is this reporter and fact is pit bulls don't grow that big that's twice the weight of an actual Apbt!

Now we add any one of the couple of hundred pit bull haters pushing and promoting breed specific legislation with a google alert for the words "pit bull" to the mix given their tendency to do little actual research and take every the media says as being gospel specifically only when it favors their purposes as you can see Aaron exchanged the banner pic on the post for his group.

There'a only one real flaw in Aaron's argument and it seems to be a recurring theme among breed specific legislation proponents who seem to be trying to include numerous other breeds into/under the heading or label of "pit bulls" in a futile attempt to vindicate their argument in relation to the effectiveness of bsl.
Once again as is the case in most instances a couple of minutes research on the internet reveals some fatal flaws in both this journalist's and this haters assertion that "Saint" is a pit bull.
One of the breed standard for the American Pit Bull Terrier all of which consistently state the same weight variation.....
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT
"The American Pit Bull Terrier must be both powerful and agile; overall balance and the correct proportion of weight to height, therefore, is far more important than the dog’s actual weight and/or height.
Desirable weight for a mature male in good condition is between 35 and 60 pounds. Desirable weight for a mature female in good condition is between 30 and 50 pounds.

It is important to note that dogs over or under these weight and height ranges are not to be penalized unless they are disproportionately massive or rangy.

So once again the reality is "Saint" is not an American Pit Bull Terrier" at all but more likely just another victim of the "anti pit bull propaganda machine" all spear headed by dogsbite a website which freely admits to having had absolutely '"no professional advice" but still seeks to influence legislators and lawmakers putting the community at greater risk.
This media bias against pit bulls is nothing new it's been going on for years and typically we the public seem to be willing to tolerate this schonky practice on a whole.

It's time we hold the media to a higher level of scrutiny as they seem to have become lazy and unwilling to maintain the sort of integrity that's required in order to keep the trust of the citizens they claim to represent and their laziness is costing pit bulls their lives on wholesale terms so let's end the prejudice and demand credible journalism.
If you own a dog that even remotely resembles a pit bull don't wait until their bashing down your door and taking your dog to the slaughterhouse by then it's too late even if you have the funds to fight them that doesn't always help as authorities have been known to prematurely kill dogs in order to avoid pesky and costly appeals please I urge all bully owners don't risk the lives of your loved pets by ignorantly assuming it won't happen to you?
