Luke & Babette's Big "Pitbull" Lobby I LOVE dogs - pit bulls aren't *really* dogs. They are a mutation of a dog. This garbage breed needs to be eliminated. They serve not purpose that can't be filled by pretty much any other breed of dog, without the inherent risk to society. Unless of course, you're a dog fighter. If that's the case, no other dog will do! Sure, they've tried it with other breeds but it just doesn't work.

Dusty Brown They just keep throwing them in the river!

I have also shared pit bull information with several people considering adoption (the shelters *really* push these dangerous dogs on families) and the information changed minds. If anyone is ever teetering on the fence, I encourage them to subscribe to google alerts for pit bull attacks for two weeks to a month. That is usually very effective. I've also gotten countless private message thanking me for the information and links I share (in addition to the ones calling me names, threatening to have their mutant rip me to shreds, veiled threats and letting me know they "know where I live", you know, typical pit bull owner bullying) and often asking for more info to share with family members, neighbors, etc. that might already have a pit bull or be considering a pit bull, or as often as not, sharing their sad pit bull attack stories.

Although more effective than a break stick and just as easy to carry is a knife!
http://www.10news.com/news/ woman-killed-pit-bull-to-sa ve-grandma-dog-10292014 Luke & Babette's Big "Pitbull" Lobby What happens with someone else's dog doesn't concern me however if a pit bull were attacking a human, yes, I would do anything necessary to kill it. If one were attacking someone else's dog, I would hand them the knife. If it were attacking my dog, I would slit its throat as fast as I could do it. But unless it charges and catches me completely off guard, no pit bull will ever have the opportunity to get close enough to my dog to do harm. If those owners are stupid enough to let a pit bull interact with their dog and it gets killed, that's their problem - I could just consider it a shame their poor dog had to suffer for their stupidity.Luke & Babette's Big "Pitbull" Lobby You are clearly a very irresponsible pit bull owner. tick...tick...tick... And your beady-eyed mutant is obese! Gross! And it appears you haven't even managed to teach her to walk on a proper collar!Luke & Babette's Big "Pitbull" Lobby Winter coat?! Bahahhahahaa! So that's what we're calling a thick layer of blubber these days! Responsible owners of any breed keep their dogs well-exercised, fit, and healthy. Responsible pit bull owners NEVER take their pit bulls to dog parks.Well said and don't kid yourself, many pets attacked by these kid killers were attacked by one that was on a leash yet their dipsh*t owner still couldn't physically restrain them (a reason for requiring ALL pit bulls to be securely muzzled with a basket muzzle when in public)! Even if you HAD met their wonderful pit bull, it doesn't mean it's safe. Often the very first sign of a aggression from one of these mutants is a full blown attack that no one ever saw coming.
Dusty Brown = pitbull hating stalker that thinks the world should bow to her demented demands, sorry Dusty the fact is you and your cultist mates are dangerous and fortunately with your help we've exposed you as the psycho you are?

Mary Ricker Why should I? Why should I learn how to behave around dogs, read dog body language, or get involved in the community to stop irresponsible ownership and breeding, or to learn how to break up a dog fight? This is the great USA, land of the free, I don't need to learn any of this, especially because of somebody else's poor choice of breed. I don't have to learn any of this for Cockers, Beagles, German Shepherds, Collies or Poodles, yet you feel I must learn to do this for Pit Bulls. Let me repeat, this is the USA. I get to pick and choose my battles, you don't get to force me to accommodate yours. Since you promote PIt Bulls, YOU have to do all the above you mentioned, not me. In the meantime, while you fail at YOUR responsibilities, I will lead the pack promoting BSL targeting PIt Bulls. This is the battle I pick and choose to fight because you believe Pit Bulls belong in my community despite their dangerous track record and bloodsport genetics placed in the hands of the irresponsible like you. You believe everybody else must jump through hoops to ensure their safety so that people like you can be lazy and irresponsible and continue to point the finger at everybody else instead of placing the blame squarely where it lies, on yourselves and your bloodsport dogs.
Jeff Borchardt blaming everyone and anything else for Dax's death , the fact is it was the babysitters fault Jeff! grow up and own your decision to leave your child with her!! it's not rocket science Jeff?
What WOULD I do if a pit bull moved next door today? I don’t know. Probably move. You see our house has a lot of stairs. And I’m sick of climbing them just to get to my car. Grocery day is a total pain so moving wouldn’t be a bad option. However why should we have to move? Don’t families deserve to live in safe communities? Why should we be pushed out if a pit bull owner decides to insert themselves into a stable and secure neighborhood? As I learn about pit bull politics I become educated about the tactics that their owners use. For example;
“Pit bull is not a breed” or “That’s not a pit bull, that’s an American Staffordshire terrier” or “That’s not a pit bull, that’s an American Bulldog.”
We have an intelligent landlord and he won’t rent to owners with “pit bulls or bully breeds of dogs.” He owns all the houses on our side of the block so we don’t have to worry about a pit bull moving in next door. I have spoken to my landlord about this issue and my own experience in detail. Thanks to DaxtonsFriends. com and learning about breeds, my landlord now sees the risks and dangers and will choose not to rent to folks that use these shady tactics to try to fraudulently pass off their pit bull as a boxer, lab mix, staffie etcetera. He now knows about the Americans with Disabilities Association rules and the difference between a real “service dog” and an “ESA” emotional support dog. He understands how breed identification is actually done by observing distinctive physical traits. In other words, phenotype indicates breeding and heritage. That’s why there are breed registries and the AKC, UKC, etc. In layman’s terms:
“If it looks like a pit bull, it’s a pit bull.”
He’s the landlord and has the right to choose. He can “discriminate” against a dog by the way it looks all he wants. Why? Because he owns the property. Because he assesses risk as well as his insurance company who would also be liable in the case of an incident. He doesn't want to be sued if a breed of dog that has been selectively bred for hundreds of years to fight to death in a pit suddenly snaps and attacks someone. In my case, it was their owner who fought them for fifteen minutes while they tried and succeeded in killing and mauling the baby she carried in her arms.
